No pain no gain right?

Well thats what they say

In one of my first blogs I shared the thoughts I had while laying in my hospital bed recovering from my overdose. To remind you, the thoughts were to “bulletproof” myself. Mind, body and soul. I feel with the progress that I have made over the past few months that my mind is almost there. The development of my soul goes hand in hand with my mind. So that just leaves my body.

When I eat healthy, I have far more energy, I feel happier. Today I have eaten well. I started with my normal breakfast of my medication, supplements and a protein shake. I followed all of that with bacon, eggs and spinach.

I was craving carbs by lunchtime and caved in to a sandwich (I can’t be good all the time). For dinner I made macaroni cheese with bacon and more spinach. More carbs I know, but this time it was to fuel my imminent run.

I hate running, I’m hopeless at it. God only knows why I have started to give it a go. This evening loaded with my Samsung earbuds, I put on some inspirational music and off I went. In my previous 2 attempts I have manage about 3km.

I was determined to beat that distance tonight. I walked to the local park at a good pace to warm up. I set my gear s3 watch and focused.

I managed 5km!!! Not world beating I know, but for me it was a milestone. The time wasn’t great and I know I can improve, but at least I went out there and did it. I’m so pleased with myself.

I am an official amazon and ebay affiliate. If you buy and products relevant to my blog, I revieve a small commission. I will from time to time mention products that I use, and add a link. Feel free to use that link or the one on my homepage. I’m not blogging to get rich, but commissions help to fund my site.

I recently purchased a pair of Samsung buds live. They are brilliant when I am out running/cycling or just walking. I wear them inside my crash helmet when out on my motorbike to hear the sat nav/ make calls or listen to music. Well worth the money.
