Today I saw some angels

I really did. For the first time in months I saw both of my beautiful daughters.. together. I can’t really describe how happy this made me.

Elise, my eldest had moved in with her boyfriend and his parents as the lockdown started. My youngest Lauren is still at home with her mum and stepdad.

I have seen Lauren from a distance a couple of times, but not seen Elise at all. Seeing them both lifted me higher than any drug ever could and being on fathers day made it even more special.

I called in to see Lauren originally as I don’t know Sam’s parents well enough to just call round there (Elise’s boyfriend). I was so pleased to see they were both there. The conversation was nothing serious, just banter, exactly what I needed. I sat in the front garden of their mums house and we chatted for nearly an hour. Perfect day.

Fate had played a massive part in this happening. I knew my lovely adopted mother was baking me some cakes and sausage roll for me to collect today, but when I woke up I didn’t feel like leaving my flat or doing anything at all. I was going to message her and say I would go over tomorrow if I felt up to it. However, I got a text to say she had run out of eggs. As she is shielding, I bought some to take to her. It was on my way there I decide to go and see Lauren. Who knew a dozen eggs would bring me to see both of my angels 👼.
